Important update: We've a new repairs and maintenance contractor in London
The update only applies if you're a legacy SHG resident based in the following London boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Bromley, Croydon, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
You may be aware that we’ve been securing a new contractor to deliver repairs and maintenance services for your home.
Our existing contracts with United Living and Wates will come to an end on 3 June 2024. From this date, Axis Europe will take over the repairs and maintenance services. You can find out more information about Axis Europe on their website www.axiseurope.com.
Residents were a part of the process
We know how much of a difference a good repair service can make to your lives, which is why we involved residents in the tendering and award process for the new contract.
A ‘tendering process’ is the way we choose a suitable organisation to help us provide some of the services we deliver. Because this is such an important service, we had three residents involved in approving the questions and scoring the organisations.
This meant the final decision was based on the lived experiences of residents as well as the technical knowledge of our colleagues. After receiving feedback from those involved, we can confirm the process was successful.
