In September, our retrofit delivery team recently held an event at the Samuel Lewis Trust Dwellings, Liverpool Road to talk to residents about doing just that.
The Samuel Lewis Trust Dwellings are grade two listed buildings and in need energy efficiency improvements. The team have been working closely with residents to complete retrofit assessments of individual flats on site.
The aim of the event was to consult with residents about the measures and gain their feedback and insight before we apply for planning permission.
What residents were saying:
Our residents were happy with the event and the involvement that they’ve had in the process. Main feedback included:
- We’re doing what we said we would
- Reducing residents’ energy use will be an excellent advantage
- The event was useful.
What’s next?
Now we’ve heard from residents and completed retrofit assessments, they’ll be submitted to Ambue our Retrofit Design House, who come up with a list of proposed measures.
We’ll be applying for planning permission for work to start in the next few weeks. Once we have received the outcome, another resident event will be held to discuss next steps and introduce the installers and delivery team.
