Creating safe and secure homes is at the heart of all we do.
We are committed to building and fire safety, not just as a regulatory requirement, but as a shared responsibility that depends on openness, accountability, and lasting cultural change.
Since the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower, we’ve been on a journey to improve the way we manage safety across our homes. We’re investing in long term programmes to inspect, assess and, where needed, improve the safety of our buildings, with particular focus on higher-risk buildings (HRBs). But more than that, we’re working to embed a culture where safety is everyone’s priority - from our staff and contractors, to the residents living in our homes.
This area of our website will tell you:
- How we manage safety in our HRBs
- Details on our Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Door Programmes
- Fire safety inspections, checks and resident appointments
- How we investigate building safety concerns and complaints
- Information about remediation costs and leaseholder support
- Guidance for selling, staircasing or re-mortgaging
- Fire safety tips and other resources.
This page supports residents, leaseholders and partners across the sector by making safety information clear, accessible and transparent. Whether you’re looking to understand your rights, report an issue or prepare for a fire safety appointment, the content here is designed to help you stay informed and involved.
This is part of our wider commitment to cultural change - ensuring that safety is not just about compliance but about communication, clarity and collective responsibility.
