Residents of Ryde Village, an Extra Care Scheme on the Isle of Wight, have welcomed a very special visitor - Marni, a therapy dog who now visits the scheme on a weekly basis.
Her gentle nature and wagging tail have quickly made her a favourite among residents, bringing joy to everyone she meets.
Marni’s presence always lifts residents’ spirits, whether she’s sitting quietly for a cuddle or trotting around to greet familiar faces, her visits are eagerly anticipated each week.
Having Marni visit is such a positive influence on our residents’ wellbeing. Interacting with pets can be incredibly therapeutic, as there’s something very calming and uplifting about spending time with animals. It’s lovely to see everyone smiling whenever Marni’s around.
