Residents across our care and support services got together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day this week, with an abundance of events taking place across our schemes and care homes.
In Surrey, at Lewes Court, our independent living residents took to the floor for a good old fashioned singalong, with plenty of wartime favourites.
Staff also hosted a tea party, and accompanied residents to the event taking place in their local town.

Meanwhile, at 22 Argyll Street, our care home for residents with learning disabilities on the Isle of Wight, residents were invited to a street party.
Staff ensured there wasn’t a dull moment, hosting a variety of activities throughout the day, from singalongs to wartime classics and traditional garden games, to bingo and even a visit from The Falconry Experience.
They also served up a hearty BBQ and homemade cakes, keeping residents fed throughout the fun.
