Residents of Furzebrake Extra Care Scheme on the Isle of Wight celebrated the most wonderful time of the year with a Christmas party this week.

A tree-mendous day was had by all, with plenty of festive fun and games on the cards, as well as a classic Christmas lunch.

The residents warmed up with a game of ‘toss the beanbag on Rudolph’s nose’, followed by hedging their bets on some horses. Bets were made with play money, much to the disappointment of the residents, some of whom would’ve had a very nice Christmas bonus if it were real!

Having worked up an appetite, the residents sat down to a traditional turkey lunch, wonderfully prepared by JJ and Mark. Residents also received a small gift from the social fund, as an extra Christmas treat.

No Christmas party would be complete without a raffle, and after lunch, staff wrapped up the day by dishing out some great prizes.

Everyone had a great day, with everyone getting in the Christmas spirit!
