Paid work placements
Our paid work placement programme aims to support residents who are looking to gain work experience, develop new skills and knowledge.
Learning and developing skills is central to the work placement experience as this will help to improve the resident’s confidence and motivation to go onto securing meaningful employment.
A work placement is also a great way to earn a salary while trying something new.
You will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of work, meet new people and receive on-the-job training.

121 career coaching
Stay Nimble can support our residents with FREE dedicated career coaching delivered by trained professionals. It helps to provide the tools to help you on your employment journey. You can get access to:
- 6 hours of 121 online coaching
- Lifetime access to the platform
- Assessment tools
- Career and job searching.

Free online courses
Through the New Skills Academy we can give you access to over 700 free online courses in a variety of areas and sectors that are bound to suit you.
Whether you want to improve your job prospects, pursue a new career, or gain new skills, our five-step e-learning programmes have been designed to support your personal development and could be the way to find a job you actually love.

Employment fund
We can help remove some of these barriers by providing funding towards a range of areas including:
- Initial travel costs
- Interview clothing
- Equipment
- Training and courses
- And much more.

Apprenticeships
We’ve got a range of apprenticeship opportunities through our contractors and suppliers.

- Ways To Work (W2W)
W2W is an exciting training and employment programme to help unemployed people over the age of 16 into work in Kent.
Ways to Work is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) programme for 2014-2023. ESF in Kent is managed by the Department for Work & Pensions. - Love London Working (LLW)
LLW is a training and employment programme helping unemployed people over the age of 16 into work in London.
LLW is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) programme for 2014 – 2023. ESF is manged in London by the Greater London Authority (GLA).
