Tom is CFO at Southern Housing, having worked for predecessor organisations for more than a decade.

He’s responsible for:
- finance,
- risk,
- strategy,
- business transformation,
- data and
- technology.
Tom’s professional background is in corporate finance. After a brief stint working in politics, Tom joined KPMG’s infrastructure finance team in the mid-2000s, where most of his time was spent advising central government on the delivery of major infrastructure and other procurement.
He moved into social housing in 2011 as a treasury advisor to Housing Associations.
During his time at our predecessors, AmicusHorizon and Optivo, Tom has been responsible for a wide range of functions including our student accommodation and NHS key worker operations, and most recently leading the post-merger integration after Southern Housing was formed through merger in 2022.
He’s an economist and a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. He’s a member of the British Property Federation’s Affordable Housing Committee, the Finance & Treasury Committee at Amplius Living, and the Housing Committee at the Church of England Pensions Board.
