Wam joined Southern Housing in September 2024 with over 20 years of experience in HR across construction and facilities management, where she held various senior roles.
Before joining us, Wam was the People and Culture Director at ISS UK Ltd, where she led initiatives to boost employee engagement and streamline HR functions. Her achievements include creating a career framework that increased engagement and improved performance management. She also played a pivotal role in key transformation projects, including overhauling UK payroll operations to achieve significant cost efficiencies and building a new function of 100 specialists to support long-term growth.
With a people-first approach, Wam is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive workplaces where colleagues enjoy coming to work and are enabled to deliver results.
As a dedicated community advocate, Wam also serves as a school governor, contributing her expertise to Staff and Finance and Appeals Committees, showing her commitment to fostering inclusive, growth-focused environments.
Wam is a strong ambassador for diversity, inclusion and belonging, actively promoting these values in her leadership and workplace culture. She sponsors our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group and serves as the Executive sponsor for the Women@Work network.
