Reflecting on our history

Southern Housing Chief Executive Paul Hackett met George Blunden, a former chair of the Samuel Lewis Housing Trust, shortly after the merger in December 2022,

They caught up at Liverpool Road, Islington, where the first Samuel Lewis Trust Estate featuring 151 flats was completed in 1910.

During a walk around the area, they discussed the homes which were built over a century ago and looked ahead to the future.
