The strategy applies to all our higher‑risk buildings (HRB). It gives residents a stronger voice in building safety and uses their lived experience to guide our decisions.
Why we’ve launched it
We believe building safety is a shared responsibility, and our residents' voices are crucial to this. The strategy explains how we:
- Involve residents in decisions
- Listen to concerns and act on them
- Share clear, accessible safety information
- Build open, trusting relationships so residents feel confident to speak up.
What’s inside the strategy?
- Our commitment to accessible communication
- How and when we’ll engage residents on safety decisions
- How we’ll gather feedback on the strategy
- What building safety information we will and won’t share
- Residents’ responsibilities
- How to make a building safety complaint.
Engagement plans
Every HRB has its own engagement plan. This sets out key responsibilities and how we’ll work with residents throughout their tenancy.
Think of it this way, the strategy sets our vision, and the engagement plans explain how we’ll deliver it.
If you live in an HRB, you can find your building’s engagement plan here.
How to get involved
We’ll consult residents on the strategy every two years, or sooner if any major building safety changes happen.
We’ve recently consulted all HRB residents on the latest version. We’re currently reviewing the findings with a view to sharing these with residents soon.
