We’re making it easier and more reliable to manage your payments. From 1 September 2026, all Southern Housing residents will use our new payment provider, allpay Limited.
What you need to know
- If you’ve paid at a Post Office or PayPoint in the last 18 months, you should receive a new allpay payment card by 1 September 2026
- Start using your new card as soon as it arrives and destroy your old one
- Using an old card after 1 September 2026 may cause delays or your payment not reaching your account.
Payment reference numbers
- Former Southern Housing Group residents can keep using their existing payment reference number
- Former Optivo residents will have a new payment reference number. Please use this when you pay to avoid delays and make sure your payment goes to the right account.
If you pay by Direct Debit
Good news – you don’t need to do anything.
Any Direct Debits set up with our previous payment provider, have already been moved to the new system. If your Direct debit has been moved, you should have already received confirmation from allpay.
If you pay by Standing Order
- You don’t need to cancel or change any existing standing orders
- A standing order is an automated instruction to your bank to pay a fixed, recurring amount to a specific person or business on a set date. Unlike a direct debit, the money is fully controlled and scheduled by you.
Ways to pay
- Direct Debit - the easiest and most convenient way to pay
- Online Account - quick and secure
- Post Office or PayPoint outlets - using your allpay card
- By phone - any recurring card payments will need to be set up again.
