Prince of Wales Drive resident, Caroline stepped into the spotlight as a participant in the hit ITV show The Assembly. The groundbreaking series which rings together 35 interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent or have a learning disability, giving them the chance to put their questions directly to A list celebrities.

The first series, which aired in 2024, featured big names such as Michael Sheen, David Tennant and Danny Dyer, it received rave reviews from critics and viewers.

Caroline became involved through the Baked Bean Charity; a group she attends that specialises in drama and dance, two of her passions. She says she’s loving every moment of being part of the show, especially having her makeup professionally done before filming.

One of her standout memories so far is interviewing actor, Danny Dyer. She didn’t shy away from the big questions, asking him why he named his daughter after himself and why he swears so much! Caroline also recalls a touching moment when he was moved to tears.

Although she’d never done anything like this before, Caroline says the experience has boosted her confidence and she’d love to do even more TV work in the future, stating she’d “love to be famous!”

Caroline is now busy filming the second series, set to air in 2026, but she’s staying tight lipped about which celebrities will be grilled this time!

Caroline has come a long way since moving into Prince of Wales Drive, back then she didn’t have much confidence. But with support from the team at the scheme, her social worker and the Baked Bean group, she’s really grown, and now she’s interviewing celebrities on national TV!
