You can join the register if you or someone in your household:

•    Is of pensionable age
•    Has a disability or long-term medical condition
•    Is living with dementia
•    Has mental health needs
•    Is pregnant or has young children under 5-years-old
•    Relies on medical equipment 
•    Needs refrigerated medication

Being on the Priority Services Register provides:

•    Advance notice of planned power cuts
•    Priority support in emergencies
•    Dedicated 24-hour emergency phone line
•    Help with meter readings
•    Different formats of communication (e.g. large print or braille)

Temporary support can also be provided to those who may need assistance due to life-changing events, such as:

•    Bereavement
•    Relationship breakdown
•    Job loss
•    Recovery from hospital
•    Living independently for the first time
